Woodworking and Woodturning in Native Woods

 About Me

My studio is located in Illinois. I have been learning how to work in wood for almost thirty years now. I first started learning about working in wood in an art sculpture class I took in 1973.

I find myself making smaller and smaller items. In the 1980's I built sleeping lofts and full wall size computer centers. Now I build cabinet size furniture and boxes smaller than a breadbox.

I build furniture by the piece and by commission. I enjoy making boxes and small cabinets, but my passion is turning wood on a lathe.

I am a member the American Association of Woodturners (AAW), and the St. Louis Woodturners, (a chapter of the AAW.) I am also a juried member of the Illinois Artisans Program.

I currently have my work for sale at the Illinois State Museum, the Illinois Artisans Center at Rend Lake and the Artisan Shop in Chicago.

I was at the both of the Illinois State Fairs the summers of 2000,and 2001 and at the Springfield Fair in 2002.  I have been featured in the local paper, the Edwardsville Intelligencer.
